"Propeller Art Gallery presented, MUCH TOO MUCH, the solo show by Canadian conceptual artist, Stefan Wegner. The entire Propeller Gallery space was packed with thought-provoking artwork that examined challenging emotional themes, broadly accepted values, and the language of consumer culture. Almost too many unique associations between thematic writing and object design were on display. The rich variety of themes and concepts, often delivered with a wry sense of humour, had many visitors spending considerable time studying the work and discussing it. I’ve certainly never seen so many people spend so long with one piece after another, or stay so long at a gallery show for the work itself. ‘MUCH TOO MUCH’ was a refreshingly bold exhibition given the current Canadian art landscape, highlighting an intriguing new voice that we need to hear more from.
